John has an amazing story of weight loss which eventually led to him running ultra distances.  At one point in his life, John weighed over 300  pounds.  His weight loss journey was fraught with inner demons, a poor diet, lack of exercise, and plenty of uninformed choices. But, with steadfast determination and newfound knowledge he was able to transform his 304-pound soft body into a muscular sub 200 pounds, achieving a weight loss in excess of 100 pounds. 

After learning by trial and error, John is passionate about guiding others past the landmines he had to navigate.  John became a certified Personal Trainer, Health Coach, and Running Coach.

As further evidence of John’s determination and resolve ...he became an ultra runner who has performed some entertaining and impressive feats.  Some of my favorites include a 40 mile run on a high school track, 2 am trail runs, and a 50-mile trail race.
